Dr. Bohannon has taught kindergarten through college. Her K-12 experience includes public, private and boarding schools. Dr. Bohannon’s interest in the brain and learning was inspired by a boarding school student who had traumatic brain injury from a serious car accident. Working with this student was how Dr. Bohannon discovered teaching was her calling. Helping students reach their highest potential is what makes Dr. Bohannon happiest!
Dr. Bohannon’s husband is a professor of history and scholar of 19th century Georgia and the Civil War at UWG in Carrollton. The Drs. Bohannon have a son and a daughter and son (twins). The Bohannons also live with Winston, their dachshund mix rescue dog, and Sadie, their tiny terrier rescue dog. For the past decade Dr. Bohannon has taught Sunday School at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Carrollton. One day she hopes to hike either the Camino de Santiago or one of the ten ancient ‘Pilgrim Paths’ in Ireland.
