Kimberly Kummell joined the Odyssey family as the Spanish Teacher in the 2018-2019 school year. Kimberly lives in Carrollton with her cat, Tabitha. She is originally from Baltimore where she graduated from Towson University with a B.A. in Spanish and French for Secondary Education. During her undergraduate studies, Kimberly studied and lived with native families in Cuernavaca, Mexico and in Nice, France. She then earned a M.A. in Spanish from the Middlebury College immersion program and studied in Salamanca, Spain. Kimberly has taught for 16 years in Maryland and Georgia. When she is not teaching, Kimberly enjoys running, lifting weights, swimming, practicing yoga and participating in church activities. She considers it an honor to be able to share her enthusiasm for languages with her students.
