Her love of teaching began at an early age, her elementary school principal and teachers would allow her to go into the lower grades and assist when a teacher needed help. She was also very involved in teaching Sunday School and Training Union and Bible School at her church while still in her teens. She had a number of teachers who inspired her and encouraged her. She received a small scholarship from the Coweta County Teachers Association when she graduated from high school.
She has a son and a daughter who are now adults and three grandchildren. The grandchildren are the “sunshine” in her life. She loves reading, flower gardening, and dancing. She loves sharing her flowers and “swapping” with other gardeners.
The letter that best describes her is J because she tries to spread Joy wherever she goes. She believes that God has blessed her immensely with work that she truly enjoys for over 40 years!
