Odyssey’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of Odyssey Charter School. We aim to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teacher and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow.
All staff members and all parents of Odyssey Charter School students are eligible to join and are considered voting members of the PTO once they have paid the yearly dues, which are $10 per individual. Meetings are held throughout the year at the school.
The activities and operation of the PTO are managed by the Executive Board, which consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and a Teacher Representative. Each of those offices may be held by two people who share the responsibilities. Elections for Executive Board members are held each April.
Multicultural Outreach: Diverse Roots at International Night – PTO Today’s 2011 Parent Group of the Year for Outstanding Outreach to a Multicultural Parent Base created a fun, educational, free family night that got the entire school community involved, from administrators on down to students.
