Before School and After School care is available each school day for both elementary and middle school students and is usually held in the Cafegymatorium or in a classroom. Students are supervised at all times by staff members. Students participating in the program must register and pre-pay before attending.
During Before School and After School, students have the opportunity to get their homework done and may receive homework assistance from a staff member if it is needed. Weather permitting, they will get outdoor time either on the playground or field, but if they have to remain indoors, we have board games and activities to keep them busy.
Program Times & Fees
Before School care begins at 7:00 am and costs $6 per day (pre-paid) or $10 per day (drop-in). Students attending Before School care should enter through the front door of the school.
After School care is open until 6:00 pm and costs $12 per day (pre-paid) or $15 per day (drop-in). Parents should enter through the front doors of the school and sign their students out with one of the After School staff members. There is a $1 fee per minute for students that are not picked up by 6:00 pm and that is due immediately at the time of pickup.
Athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities who are not picked up after practices, meetings, or events will be sent to After School Care and the drop-in fee of $15 will be charged.
Payment Information
All fees for Before School and After School care must be paid in advance and must be paid by Friday afternoon for the following week of care. Parents of students who are not registered and/or not paid in advance will pay an increased fee ($10 per day for before school; $15 per day for after school). Only cash and check payments are accepted at this time. The cost for care does not vary with the length of time in care—it is a per-attendance charge. Payments can be sent in to Amy Richardson, our school bookkeeper, to your student’s homeroom teacher, or may be paid at any time to one of the Before School/After School staff members.
