Congratulations to Adam Mowers. His artwork entitled “Gone Fishing”, is one of four from Georgia that has been selected for the CVS Caremark/VSA “All Kids Can Create” art contest semi finals. Two pieces will be chosen to represent the state of Georgia in a national exhibit at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in Washington, D.C., this August. We wish Adam good luck as we await the national judges’ decision.
Adam now joins the ranks of other talented Odyssey students who have won notoriety in this same contest over the past several years. In 2010, Alexis Lewis’ artwork represented the state of Georgia at the 2010 VSA Arts Festival in Washington, D.C. In 2011, 9 Odyssey student art pieces, created by Jakob Duke, Alexis Lewis, Christian Rodrigues, Gracie Coyne, Lucus Zeise and Katie Bird Coyne, were selected for a month long display in the VSA art gallery in Atlanta. That year, CVS selected Lucas Zeise’s artwork as a Georgia Semi-finalist.
