Our 2021 Summer Learning Camp was Odyssey Olympics themed. Students complete math and reading activities that were about the Ancient Olympics, the Summer, and Winter Olympics as well. Students participate in teams and played Olympic styled games. The summer camp had STEM days where students worked with classmates for experiments.
Students traveled around the United States solving puzzles, riddles, and playing games. Students worked on math and reading skills in the classrooms and then worked with their teams to race across the United States.
The students traveled through the decades and learned about the history of each decade. Students read books about historical events, technology, fashion, and celebrities of the time period. They were able to experience games and activities from each decade.
Due to the current weather conditions forecasted for tomorrow morning, Odyssey Charter School will delay opening for two hours on Monday, March 16th. All staff are to report to school by 9:45 am and carline will begin promptly at 10 am. School will officially begin at 10:25 am.
Due to forecasted wind conditions, bus service for tomorrow will be cancelled for both morning and afternoon pick up. This decision was made for the overall safety of both our scholars and transportation staff.
We will continue to monitor forecasts and weather conditions throughout the evening and early morning. If the conditions should worsen, Odyssey will update parents regarding further delays or other adjustments to operations as necessary.
Current forecasts show that Coweta and the surrounding areas will experience a line of storms with the possibility of producing high winds and rain, and the possibility of tornado watch advisories.
We urge all parents to closely monitor conditions in their own areas and neighborhoods and make safe travel decisions accordingly.
Thank you!
