Half Day on Monday, April 8, 2024

Due to the solar eclipse that is scheduled to occur next Monday, April 8, 2024, our school has opted to have a half day of school. Although Georgia is not in the solar eclipse path, you will be able to see a partial eclipse, which is scheduled to begin at 1:45 pm and last until 4:21 pm. Even with a partial eclipse, everyone must protect their eyes by wearing eclipse-viewing glasses. Since the eclipse is scheduled to occur during our regular dismissal time, out of an abundance of caution, we will dismiss K-3 beginning promptly at 12:00 pm followed by 4-8 at 12:20 pm. Our buses will run both the morning and afternoon routes. We have attached an updated pick-up schedule for the buses to this email.

Also, due to the early release, students will not have lunch on campus. Please feel free to send a snack and water bottle, but a lunch for Monday will not be required.
